North Carolina will no longer charge 16- and 17-year-olds as adults, starting in 2019. This is a huge win!

 

Legislators finally passed a budget item in the 2017 legislative session that included funding and implementation timelines for raise the age. North Carolina will finally implement #raisetheage in its entirety in 2019.
